Historical Note

Century Air Lines, also seen as Century Airlines, was an American airline serving the Midwest region. Founded by E.L. Cord, it was a sister carrier to Century-Pacific Lines, which served the Pacific region. The airline operated only a few months in 1932 and was sold as a result of the first organized strike in commercial aviation history.
