Historical Note

Korean Air Lines began in 1962 after Korean National Airways (began in 1946) was acquired by the government. In 1969, it changed its name to Korean Air and is the flag carrier for South Korea. The airline continues present-day.

Glattenberg Aviation Photograph Collection is a collection of 2,525 35mm photographic slides and more than 2,500 digital images primarily of commercial aircraft taken by Glattenberg from roughly 1958-2002.The bulk of the collection consists of images depicting commercial airliners.
