Historical Note

Egyptair is the state-owned flag carrier of Egypt. The airline is headquartered at Cairo International Airport as its main hub. Originally founded in 1932 as Misr Airwork, the airline had several name changes and in 1971 became Egyptair. As of 2025, the airline continues to operate scheduled passenger and freight services.
