Historical Note

Dan-Air was a United Kingdom-based airline and a wholly owned subsidiary of London-based shipbroking firm Davies and Newman. Established in 1953, it initially offered cargo and charter flights. In the late 1960s, the airline added scheduled passenger service. The airline operated until 1992 when it was merged into British Airways.
