Historical Note

Pennsylvania Airlines Inc. was an American regional passenger airline that operated in the 1930s. It was a division of Pittsburgh Aviation Industries Corporation and had its headquarters at Allegheny Municipal Airport in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The airline offered flights to Akron and Cleveland, Ohio and Washington, D.C. from Pittsburgh as its main routes. It ceased operations when it merged with Central Airlines to form Pennsylvania Central Airlines.
