Historical Note

Island Airlines was an American airline that offered scenic flights to the Lake Erie Islands from its base in Port Clinton, Ohio. Originally established as Island Airways in 1930, it became Island Airlines in 1946. The airline operated Ford Trimotors, including the "Tin Goose," as its fleet. The airline ceased operations in 1992 when it was taken over by Griffing Flying Service.
