Historical Note

Bar Harbor Airlines was an American commuter airline based at Hancock County–Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton, Maine. Established in 1943 as Bar Harbor Airways, the airline initially offered charter and scenic flights. Circa 1972, the airline changed its name to Bar Harbor Airlines. It operated as such until it ceased operations in 1991 when it merged into ExpressJet.
