Historical Note

Altus Airlines was an American passenger regional airline based in Altus, Oklahoma, 1967-1989. Established as Altus Flying Service in 1963, the airline was initially a cargo line. In 1967, it changed its name and added commuter service. In 1987, Altus partnered with Braniff Airways to offer feeder service to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The airline ceased operations in 1989.
