Historical Note

Morris Air was a low-fare passenger airline in the western United States, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Established in 1984 as Morris Air Service, the airline changed its name in 1992. It operated as Morris Air until it was bought by and merged into Southwest Airlines in 1994. Morris Air is notable as the first airline to use e-ticket, or ticketless, travel based on the suggestion of employee Stuart Thatcher.
