Historical Note

Syrian Arab Airlines is a passenger airline based in Damascus, Syria. Established in 1946 as Syrian Airways, the airline cmerged with Misair in 1958 to become United Arab Airlines. In 1961 it rebranded again to Syrian Arab Airlines and in 1975 became Syrian Airlines, often seen as SyrianAir. It continues to operate as of 2024.
