Historical Note

In 1934 Western Air Express lost its affliation with TWA and became General Air Lines. It was sometimes marketed as Western Air Division of General Air Lines and offered passenger flights from California to New York as well as some Midwest cities. The airline returned to the Western Air Express name after several months, likely in mid-1935.
