Historical Note

AB Aerotransport (ABA) was a Swedish government-owned airline. It was founded in 1924 as Aktiebolaget Aerotransport. In 1948, it merged with privately-owned Swedish Intercontinental Airlines (SILA) in 1948 to form ABA. The airline ceased operations in 1950 when it merged with SAS AB (Scandinavian Airlines System Aktiebolag).
