Historical Note

AirCal, originally named Air California, was a regional airline that operated primarily in California, 1967-1987. In 1978 it expanded operations to several destinations outside the state. In 1984 it formed a connecting flights partnership with Muse Air, based in Texas. The airline was acquired by American Airlines in 1987 and ceased operations.

Glattenberg Aviation Photograph Collection is a collection of 2,525 35mm photographic slides and more than 2,500 digital images primarily of commercial aircraft taken by Glattenberg from roughly 1958-2002.The bulk of the collection consists of images depicting commercial airliners.
