Historical Note

Edinburgh Castle is in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is a historic fortress and castle located on Castle Rock, a site which as been in use since the Bronze Age, although some of the buildings of the present castle date from 12th century through the 21st century. It is still in use today and is owned by the Scottish government.
