Abstract William E. Boeing, Sr. (1881-1956) was an aviation pioneer and founded The Boeing Company in 1916. Contents of the Collection The collection contains a single-page typed letter from G. C. Westervelt to P. N. Jansen of the Curtiss Engineering Corporation, dated June 3, 1919. The letter to "My Dear Jansen" expresses gratitude for Jansen's "oversight of the construction of NC Flying boats" and offers congratulations on the "success of the [Curtiss] NC-4."
