The Joe Aiken Films are comprised of six films shot, produced, or compiled by Joe Aiken of 20th Century Fox Studio, from approximately 1918-1947. George Becvar (1909-1990) was born in Denver, Colorado and with his brothers Lou (1908-1984) and Chuck (1904-1986) started Kent Flying Service which ran from approximately 1927-1930 in Kent, Washington. The collection consists of the pilot logbook for George Becvar and a scrapbook that primarily covers George Becvar's 1927-1931 flying career.

Hamilton "Ham" Coolidge (1895-1918) was one of many young men from wealthy New England families who enlisted during World War I. The collection contains materials related to Captain Coolidge's service a pilot with the U.S. Army Air Service 94th Aero Squadron. Coolidge achieved Ace status, was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, and was killed in action.
