Contents of the Collection
The Francis M. Young Aerial Survey Photograph Collection is comprised of fifteen black-and-white aerial photographs taken during Alaska Survey Expeditions, circa 1930s-1940s. The photographs are 18x22" and only a few have very brief contextual information on the reverse. Identifications include a Douglas R5D (Douglas C-54 Skymaster), Mount Rainier (Washington State), and the Columbia Glacier (Alaska). One photograph depicts an at-sea aircraft carrier with a full deck of aircraft....

Abstract
The Paul A. Ludwig Military Aviation Photograph Collection contains 2382 photographic prints and negatives with a very small amount of textual materials collected by Paul A. Ludwig and ranging from the late 1910s through the early 1980s. The bulk and strength of the collection is photographs of World War II-era aircraft and squadrons. The collection is nearly all copy prints from a variety of institutions and dozens of private collections.
