Contents of the Collection This is a very small collection comprised of World War II-era aviation ephemera, dated 1941-1945, collected by David Brown. The collection includes a "God is My Co-Pilot" promotional booklet, four pieces of WWII-era sheet music, an October 1945 United States Army Air Forces Fair leaflet, and a "Parade of Aircraft," souvenir booklet from the Wright Field Air Fair, Dayton, Ohio, October 1945.

Content Description This collection consists of notes by Joe P. Doetsch related to his work inspecting B-17B aircraft from about 1939-1940. There are 22 loose pages of notes which appear to have been cut from a notebook, an additional couple sheets of handwritten notes, and three pages of typed aircraft lists. The notebook pages document airplane serial number, its destination, propellor numbers, engine numbers, and other remarks such as pilot name. Additional pages document problems with the aircraft. Abstract Frank Wilbur Wright (1886-1950) of Portland, Oregon spent most of his adult life in the military, with service spanning the Oregon Naval Militia, Oregon National Guard, U.S. Army Air Service, Air Corps, and Air Force, and both World Wars. The collection contains commissions, photographs, identification cards, and other materials relating to Wright's long military career.
