Biographical Note: Carl Spaatz

Carl Andrew Spaatz, nicknamed "Tooey", was an American World War II general. He became Chief of Staff of the newly formed United States Air Force in 1947.

Abstract William Orthman (1911-1990) was drafted into the United States Army in 1942. He served in the China-Burma-India Theater as Public Relations Officer. The collection is comprised of 340 photographs and a small amount of textual materials from his 1945-1946 service.
