Biographical Note

Bertrand Blanchard Acosta was born on January 1, 1895. Acosta was a record-setting aviator. With Clarence D. Chamberlin he set an endurance record of 51 hours, 11 minutes, and 25 seconds in the air. Acosta died on September 1, 1954.
