 Person

Biographical Note

Terah Thomas "T.T." Maroney was born in 1880. He was an early aviator, flying hand-built aircraft in the 1910s. Accounts vary related to the exact date, but in 1914 or 1915, Maroney gave a seaplane ride to William E. Boeing (his first airplane ride) and George C. Westervelt, which was influential in their decision to enter the airplane manufacturing business. T. T. Maroney died in 1929.
