Overview The Early Aviation Photograph Collection is a collection of unknown origins consisting of 328 prints and 299 negatives, all black-and-white, primarily depicting aircraft from the first half of the 20th century. Some airships, airports, pilots, and other subjects are also represented in the images.

Contents of the Collection The collection is comprised of fourteen (14) black-and-white photographs depicting the construction of Boeing aircraft and the inside of Boeing Plant 1, circa 1914-1919. The photographer is unknown. Five of the images are 8x10" and include brief handwritten captions on reverse that identify the Boeing Airplane factory.
