Historical Note

Originally established in 1932 as Woodley Airways, the airline became Pacific Northern Airways in 1945. In 1947 it changed names again to Pacific Northern Airlines. The airline primarily served the state of Alaska. It ceased operations in 1967 when it was merged with Western Airlines.
