Pan American World Airways was established in 1927. More commonly known as Pan Am, the airline operated domestic and international flights. It ceased ooperations in late 1991 due to financial problems.

Contents of the Collection
This small collection is comprised of assorted ephemera related to various commercial airlines, including photographs, postcards, decals, bumper stickers, and maps. The bulk of the collection is more than fifty photographs, primarily of Frontier Airlines aircraft in service between 1950-1990. The Catherine Wingfield Flight Attendant Collection is a small collection comprised of materials relating to Wingfield’s career as a flight attendant for American Airlines in the late 1930s. The collection includes one photographic portrait (a later reprint of a colorized photograph) of Wingfield in uniform; two logbooks from her routes as a flight attendant, dated 1936-1937 and 1939-1940; and four films.
